Cracks exceeding the size of a quarter generally need a complete windshield replacement. Smaller chips or cracks may be repairable. We prioritize your safety above all else.
Crack repairIt comes down to size, location and how many breaks there are. As a rule of thumb, a single chip smaller than a quarter — or a crack under about three inches — that sits outside the driver's direct line of sight and hasn't reached the edge of the glass is usually repairable.

- Replace likely: crack longer than a few inches, or still spreading

No — and no one can. Side and rear windows are tempered glass: they shatter into small pieces rather than chipping, so they're always replaced, not repaired. Only the laminated windshield can be repaired. We replace door glass, quarter glass and back glass on any make and model.
Auto glass replacementA repair restores the glass's strength and greatly improves clarity, but a faint blemish can remain where the break was. It's a safety repair first — the goal is a stable windshield that won't keep spreading, with the cosmetic improvement as a bonus.
Because it rarely stays small here. A windshield can sit above 150°F on a summer afternoon and then contract overnight, and that daily flex is what walks a stable chip into a crack that runs across your field of view. Acting within a day or two is usually the difference between a 15-minute resin repair and a full replacement.
